Creating a UUID (General->General)

CFUUIDRef cfuuid = CFUUIDCreate (kCFAllocatorDefault);
NSString *uuid = (NSString *)CFUUIDCreateString (kCFAllocatorDefault, cfuuid);
CFRelease (cfuuid);

Because a core foundation "Create" function is called, you're responsible for releasing uuid when you're done with it.
